Dear Brother Mark,

Wow! What a cheerful weekend, just lounging about.

Look what I received in the mail from my daughter Victoire! A surprise Valentines package!!  She really "gets me" the gifts are all for my planner addiction!
Except the chocolate, that's a I LOVE you gift.

Look what I made tonight- my moms raisen surprise cookies, Yummy.

And look who cam to see me in my living room - my good friend Martha Stewart.

Check out this swap I sent today- what fun a "crossed letter" they are from Victorian times, befor the first stamp.
Letters were charged by the page so people only used one sheet.
What you did was write to the bottom and then turn it 90°, some people did it three times if it was necessary.
Jane Austin wrote them in her day and even made reference to them in some of her books.
It was a lot of fun to write. Reading it might prove a bit more challenging- thank heavens for the penny stamp it was the first stamp and crossed letters were considered bad etiquette after that.

So I leave you with that stimulating bit of information to ponder on.

Byefornow.

Busy Days

I've been pretty busy these past days due to the valentines rush LOL.

I have lots of valentines swaps that I'm in, most of them are at least 3 to 5 people in each swap list.

It sounded like a good idea at the time but boy it sure keeps your fingers busy. I do love it though.

These are incoming letters. The incoming swaps have to be checked off on the website and rated, I have to keep careful track.

As for my garden it's doing ok, the three beet plants and one kale LOL.

Here's a beet, pretty good.

I wish we could eat pine cones, we have so many and they are so big!

Well that's it for today ...... See ya.

Dear Mark ,

We had a busy weekend.

Saturday we looked at another car up around Jacksonville, it turned out to be not as the person advertised but we had a nice drive.

Sunday was church and siesta.

I've been working on some felt crafts- they are fun!

Look at all the valentines I've received so far from Swap-Bot.

Lots of swapping and writing going on here- if your curious about swapbot check out their web page it's a fun hobbie.

See yah

Estate Day

Yup! First estate sale of the season and my was it a doozy!

It started at 8 o'clock and they were passing out numbers.
We did not get there until 11 o'clock and some people had been waiting since 10 o'clock!  It was hysterical I've never had to wait to get into a house to look at other people stuff before in my life ha ha!!

Here are our numbers.

And they weren't 44.

The line.

Once we got inside it was worth it.

A mother and daughter had lived in the house together the mother got married and the daughter and she decided they would just leave the stuff and move out, and have an estate sale.

I felt a lot better after I learned the story. Because, at first glance it looked like the people had just up and died and I felt a little morbid going through their stuff ,but knowing they wanted us to made me feel much better!

They collected doll stuff - need I say more?

Seriously a lot of collecting, but it will pay off for them to sell it.  They must have moved into a "Tiny House" to leave so much behind LOL.

I did buy some nice things for our house, no doll stuff, I have enough of my own !!!

See yah.
